United States of America wins 9th Manipur Polo International 2015

The US polo team beat India/Manipur team by 5-4 to clinch the title of the 9th edition of the Manipur Polo International 2015 at Mapal Kangjeibung, the oldest polo ground in the world.

US opened the goal account of the match in the first chukker and added 1 more goal to lead by 2-0. India bounced back scoring 1 goal in the 1st chukker.

In the 2nd chukker, the US team scored 1 more goal and led the scoreline by 3-1.

In the 3rd chukker, India scored 2 goals to level the score 3-3. However US quickly scored 1 more goal to lead by 4-3 till the end of the chukker.

In the 4th and final chukker, India again scored the equaliser. In the dying minute of the chukker, M Jawan had a golden chance to make India lift the trophy once again, but he missed the goal and lost the opportunity. The score remained 4-4 till the allotted time.

The final winner of the tournament was decided by sudden death in which US player scored the goal beautifully to beat India by 5-4.
