As the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 is approaching, the official theme song for the tounament, ‘Kar Ke Dikhla De Goal’ was released by the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN). The song has been written by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and composed by Pritam. The beautiful song was sung by Bollywood movies singers Shaan, Mika Singh, Papon, Babul Supriyo and others. The video of the song shows colourful diversity of India welcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017. The song features India’s footballers Bhaichung Bhutia and Ngangom Bala along with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The video also shows Manipur’s famous Loktak lake.
India will play its first match against the USA on October 6 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. Mumbai, Guwahati, Kochi, Goa and Kolkata are other cities which will host the matches of the tournament which will start from October 6 to 28. India have been grouped with the USA, Colombia and Ghana in Group A. The matches will be telecast live by Sony Pictures Networks India.
India has not yet participated at the FIFA U-17 World Cup but will play for the first time in this edition of 2017 as the country is hosting the tournament. Football fans of Manipur on the other hand are happy that nine players from the state are representing India and wished them to play their best for the country in the tournamanet.
