North East referees Reshme Chettri and Thumli Joyshing Monsang to participate in AFC Project Future Asia Referee Course 2016-17

Two young referees Reshme Chettri from Sikkim and Thumli Joyshing Monsang from Manipur respectively will participate in AFC Project Future Referee Course – Batch 2016-17. While Thumli is the first referee to be selected from Manipur for the course, Reshmee becomes the first to be selected from Sikkim. They have become the first female and male referees to be selected for from the North East for the course. The course is for young referees and will start from April 12 to 19 of 2017 in Malaysia.

The young female referee Reshmee had officiated in international matches in Tajikistan and Laos in the year 2016. Thumli, despite being a young referee is an experienced one in the field. He had officiated in state level and national and international football matches. He officiated in 47 top tier league matches including three final matches of Manipur State League, CC Meet and Winner’s Cup in the year 2016. He also officiated in 5 football matches of North East Games 2016, 9 matches of Sub Junior National Football Championship, 9 matches of Under-16 I-League 2015-16. At the International level, he officiated in 6 matches of AFC Under-14 Regional Football Festival, Dushanbe in Tajikistan 2016.
