Nongmaithem Sarbo Singh clinches Mr India 2017 title, bags his 5th senior national title

Nongmaithem Sarbo Singh of Raiways has become Mr India 2017 when he won gold medal at the 10th Senior Men’s & Women’s Body Building & 5th Men’s & Women’s Physique Sports National Championship 2017 which is being held from 2nd to 4th March 2017 at Gurgaon, Haryana under the organization of Haryana Body Building and Fitness Association and District Amateur Body Building Federation.

The bodybuilder who hails from Bishnupur Maning Leikai won the national senior bodybuilding titles for 4 times earlier. He has also won best poser awards many times. Mr Sarbo won the 10th Senior Men’s National Championship 2017 title in men’s 75 kg category.

The Junior Mr India 2004-05 title holder and overall champion has remarkable achievements in Railways Bodybuilding championships. He won gold medals in Railways Bodybuilding Championships seven times. Besides these, he won gold medals for five consecutive times from 2010 to 2014.

In women’s open category, Thingbaijam Sarita who recently won senior national women’s title once again claimed another title in women’s open category followed by Yumnam Mamota and Europa Bhowmik for runner up and second runner up positions respectively.
