Nongmaithem Sarbo crowned Mr Saraighat 2017, bags his second national title of the year

Nongmaithem Sarbo who won Mr India 2017 title at the 10th Senior Men’s & Women’s Body Building & 5th Men’s & Women’s Physique Sports National Championship 2017 at Gurgaon, Haryana under the organization of Haryana Body Building and Fitness Association and District Amateur Body Building Federation has won Mr Saraighat 2017 title. He also won ‘Champion of the Champions’ title in the championship.

The bodybuilder who became Mr India in for 5th time made his Railways team proud at the 28th Mr. Saraighat 2017 All India Classic Invitational Body Building Competition, Guwahati, Assam, which was organised by Saraighat Gym in sssociation with Assam Body Builders & Fitness Association under the aegis of the Indian Body Builders Federation (IBBF). Mahendra Chavan of Maharastra, Javed Ali Khan of Railways, Khuraijam Pritam of CRPF and Vijay Bahadur of Railways won 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th positions respectively.  Mohan Subramanam of Andra Pradesh won 7th position while Hijbur Rahman of Delhi, Raju Khan also of Delhi, Ravindra Kumar of CRPF and Lokesh Kumar of Uttar Pradesh won 8th, 9th and 10th positions respectively.

It may be mentioned that Sarbo won the title in 2012 edition of the championship. The year 2017 has been so good for the bodybuilder from Bishnupur Maning Leikai as this is his second national title of the year 2017.

The championship attracted bodybuilders with Rs.1,25000/-, Rs.1,00000/-, Rs.80,000/-, Rs.60,000/-, Rs.50,000/-, Rs.40,000/-, Rs.30,000/-, Rs.25,000/-, Rs.20,000/- and Rs.20,000/- along with gift items for the first ten position winners and certificates for other participants and officials. Altogether 37 international and national level body builders of IBBF participated in the championship.
