Naorem Boynao wins  gold medal at the world martial arts games 2015, Bangkok

Naorem Boynao won a gold medal for India in Kuo Shu Kung Fu at the World Martial Arts Games 2015, Bangkok, Thailand. He won the medal in men’s 50kg sanda event. Kshetrimayum Jugeshor of Manipur was the coach of Indian team.

In this 1st World Martial Arts Games 2015, Thailand, seven martial arts players represented India and all won gold medals. Muay Boran player Asem Tondonba, Naorem Boynao in kuo shu kung fu, jeet kune do players Sorokhaibam Kananbala (women’s below 45kg), Laishram Geetanjali (women’s 60-65kg), Chungkham Ningthem (men’s below 52kg) and Thaovei V Soto (men’s 65-70kg), Kick Boxing player Warepam Rojita won eight gold medals in total as Warepam Rojita won two gold medals for India at the World Martial Arts Games 2015 (12th – 22nd March), Bangkok, Thailand.

It may be mentioned that Naorem Boynao has earlier won medals in world muay thai and kuoshu kung fu championships.
