Maisnam Meiraba Luwang wins under 15 boys’ single title at the ONGC All India Sub Junior Badminton Tournament 2016

International shuttler Maisnam Meiraba Luwang won the singles title in Under-15 boys’ category at the ONGC All India Sub Junior Badminton Tournament 2016 which wads held under the aegis BAI from 25th to 31st of January, 2016 at Gopichand Badminton Acadamy, Hyderabad, Telangana.

In under 15 boys singles semi final, Meiraba defeated Sai Charan Koya (AP) by 21/16,21/11. In final match, Mairaba defeated Jayant Rana of Haryana by 21/17,21/8 points. In under 15 boys double event, Meiraba and his partner Srikar Madina (AP) ) won runners up title after losing to Priyanshu Rajawat (MP) / Ishaan Bhatnagar (CG) 24/26 and 21/18 points in the final.

In the tournament, RK. Ubananda got 3rd position in under 13 boys single event while Bidyasgar Salam and Punshiba Yanghom won 3rd position in under 15 boys doubles event.

Meiraba received the winning trophy from ace shuttler PV Sindhu. It may be mentioned that Meiraba has been supported by Olympic Gold Quest.
