Maisnam Meenakumari advances to semi final, assures India of another medal in Asian Women’s Boxing Championships 2015

As expected Maisnam Meenakumari too beat her Chinese opponent Liu Piao Piao in bantam weight category by 2:1. In her first bout she got bye as her opponent did not turn up and entered the quarter final. In quarter final she met a tough boxer of hosts China. However she beat comfortably by 2:1. In semi final, she will box against Filipino boxer.

With her advance to the semi final, she has also assured India of another medal after Shamjetsabam Sarjubala.
