Defending champion Manipur emerges overall champion, J & K runner-up in the 6th Thang-Ta Federation Cup 2017

 

Manipur thang ta team emerged overall champion while Jammu and Kashmir secured 2nd position in 6th Thang Ta Federation Cup 2017 which was held from 15 to 18 June 2017. The championship was held at R.V. Public School, Thakurdas Ghari, Agra, Uttar Pradesh and organized by Uttar Pradesh Thang-Ta Association under the aegis of Thang-Ta Federation of India.

In the tournament, Manipur thang ta players bagged 58 gold, 23 silver and 10 bronze medals respectively for a total of 91 medals. Runner – up winner got 37 gold, 28 silver and 14 bronze medals respectively for a total of 79 medals. Team of Haryana won5 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals respectively to amass 14 medals and to bag the 2nd runner – up position.

Players from different parts of the country competed in the events of: (A) Phunaba – (i) Phunaba Ama (ii) Phunaba Anishuba and (B) Kanglon Chatpa – (i) Thang-Haiba(ii) Thanglon with Khonglon-Khutlon etc.
